Terms & Conditions of Service

Effective Date: January 1, 2026. This document constitutes a legally binding agreement governing your interaction with Abbott Plumbing & Drain.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website (https://abbottplumbinganddrain.com), communicating with our dispatch center, or explicitly authorizing our field technicians to execute a mechanical intervention on your property, you affirmatively agree to be bound by the precise terms and conditions dictated within this document.

2. Governing Jurisdiction

Abbott Plumbing & Drain operates exclusively within the State of Utah. Regardless of your physical location when accessing this digital property, any legal disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions-or from physical labor executed at a property located within our Utah service corridors-shall be aggressively governed by and construed in absolute accordance with the laws of the State of Utah. Both parties mutually consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state or federal courts located within Salt Lake County, Utah.

3. The Binding Flat-Rate Proposal

Abbott Plumbing & Drain fundamentally rejects the deceptive practice of opaque hourly billing. Prior to commencing any structural plumbing repair, water heater replacement, or sewer lateral mitigation, our licensed technician will present you with a written, bound, Flat-Rate Proposal.

  • Authorization: Absolutely zero physical repair work will commence until the property owner (or an authorized legal agent) explicitly signs and approves the Flat-Rate Proposal.
  • Price Lock: The financial sum listed on the signed proposal is the final price you will pay for the detailed scope of work. If our technicians require more time than anticipated to execute the repair, Abbott Plumbing & Drain absorbs the financial loss. We eliminate the risk of surprise billing.
  • Scope Deviation (Change Orders): If, after commencing work, we uncover massive, previously hidden structural damage (e.g., excavating a slab reveals a completely collapsed main drain rather than a localized belly), the original proposal is halted. A secondary "Change Order" proposal outlining the newly discovered devastation and the revised mitigation cost must be drawn up and signed before work resumes.

4. Payment Obligations

Unless explicit commercial 'Net-30' terms have been pre-negotiated and ratified by our accounting department, strict payment in full is required precisely at the completion of the physical labor. Our field technicians are equipped with encrypted digital terminals to process Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. We also accept certified bank checks. Failure to remit payment upon completion of the mitigation immediately triggers the placement of a Mechanic's Lien against the deed of the serviced property, pursuant to Utah state law.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

The entirety of the content residing on this domain-including but not limited to the textual architecture, structural zero-JS HTML/CSS formatting, proprietary digital imagery, and the "Abbott Plumbing & Drain" brand mark-is the exclusive intellectual property of Abbott Plumbing & Drain.

Unauthorized scraping, duplication, or reproduction of our proprietary content by competing plumbing firms or predatory lead-generation syndicates is explicitly prohibited and will be met with immediate Cease and Desist orders followed by aggressive civil litigation for copyright infringement.

6. Right of Refusal

Abbott Plumbing & Drain reserves the extreme, unilateral right to refuse service to any individual or corporate entity for any reason not explicitly protected by state or federal anti-discrimination statutes. This includes, but is not limited to: properties presenting severe biohazard risks to our technicians, individuals exhibiting verbally abusive behavior toward our dispatch personnel, or localized geographical areas rendered temporarily inaccessible due to serious weather events.
